How to download a video from a link on iPhone
No app needed. Safari downloads the file to the Files app, and from there you can save it to Photos.
Short version: copy the video link, paste it on NoBsDL in Safari, pick a quality, tap Download. The file lands in Files → Downloads.
Step by step
- Copy the video linkIn YouTube, TikTok or Instagram tap Share → Copy link. In Safari, tap the address bar and copy.
- Paste it on NoBsDL in SafariTap the Paste button in the link field. iOS may show a small "Paste" bubble first — tap it to allow.
- Pick MP4 or MP3Choose a resolution or bitrate. Stay on the page while the file is prepared — large files take a little longer.
- Confirm the downloadSafari asks whether to download the file. Tap Download. A download icon appears next to the address bar.
Where the file goes
Files → Downloads
Open the Files app, tap Browse, then Downloads (under iCloud Drive or On My iPhone, depending on your settings).
From Safari
Tap the download icon next to the address bar to see recent downloads and open them.
Save a video to Photos
Open the MP4 in Files, tap Share, then Save Video. It appears in your Photos library.
MP3 files
MP3s stay in Files. Play them there or use Share to open them in another app.
You can change where Safari saves downloads in Settings → Apps → Safari → Downloads (on older iOS: Settings → Safari → Downloads).
If something doesn't work
- No Paste button? Long-press the link field and choose Paste.
- Download never starts? Keep the tab open until it does, and check you have free storage space.
- "Could not read this link"? The video may be private, deleted or login-only. See why a video link won't download.
- File too big for Free? Pick a lower resolution, or MP3 at 128 kbps.

Do I need an app to download videos on iPhone?
No. NoBsDL works in Safari. There's nothing to install and no account to create.
Can the video go straight into Photos?
Safari saves it to the Files app first. Open it there, tap Share and choose Save Video to add it to Photos.
Where are my downloads on iPhone?
In the Files app, in the Downloads folder. Safari's download icon next to the address bar also lists recent downloads.
Does it work in Chrome on iPhone?
Chrome on iPhone can download files too, but Safari is the simplest route because it saves straight to the Files app.
Is it free?
Yes. Free video files can be up to 500MB and MP3 files up to 100MB. Supporter access raises that to 2GB.
